Health & Wellness

Ask Donna Marie

At TAB we understand the need to support our children, youth and their families with not only their mental health and wellness, but also their physical health and wellness. We’ve partnered with ASK DONNA MARIE to provide the following services:

  • Counselling
  • Attachment issues
  • Relationship problems
  • Communication repair
  • Trauma
  • Self-care
Ask Donna Marie services are provided by Natalie Comrie.
She has been providing therapeutic counseling services to children, teens, adults and families for over 20 years. Known for her commitment to relationships, she strives to create a safe space where man, woman and child can grow and be themselves.

Natalie provides counseling with an emphasis on self-esteem, attachment issues, relationship problems, communication repair, trauma,  and self-care. Natalie has a diverse set of skills which aid her in varying the treatment to fit the particular person and situation presented. She creates a close, supportive relationship in the counseling setting to assist each person in moving forward through: open discussion,  problem solving, cognitive behavioural therapy, the development of personal insight, offering workable suggestions and by arming them with the tools needed to make positive decisions.

Natalie understands the barrier’s that clients face when putting themselves in the position to receive counseling, and if it is important that clients take their time choosing who is right for their journey and stand in that power. That is growth!

Natalie’s education background consists of Child and Youth Worker Diploma, Professional Counseling Skills Certification, Krasner Hypnosis Certification Training, Domestic Sex Trafficking: High-Risk Sexual Behaviour Safe Guards for Children, Certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Combatting Anti-Black Racism Certification and Indigenous Circle Approach to Cultural Confidence. Natalie’s holistic approach to counseling assists clients to grow through their pain with the tools needed for success.

In partnering with Ask Donna Marie to provide life coaching sessions to our children, youth and their families, we are breaking down the barriers and disentangling the stigmatization that has plagued our marginalized communities about mental health. There are public and self stigma of mental illness and seeking help.

Dymond lived in a marginalized community but went to school in a privileged area, where she noticed an imbalance in the way education was pushed between both communities. She was interested in advocating for youth in her community and after high school, Dymond attended the University of Windsor. She completed 2 years towards courses and came home and continued to study at Ryerson. In 2012, she completed her diploma in Special Events Planning at George Brown College.

When Dymond was a teenager, she realized her administrative and organizational skills were worth pursuing. She was very active in her church at that time and became a part of their administrative team. This gave her a foundation for her administrative skills as she would manage databases, register attendees for events and even had the opportunity to get creative by making jeopardy presentations for her youth group to make the lessons more enticing.  At University, she realized she had a passion for planning events. During her time at university, she was granted an opportunity to be the leader of a student group that ran educational, athletic and social events for her peers. She uses her transferable skills of communication, organization and client/customer relations in different roles. She has been working as a Medical Secretary at a Paediatric Hospital for the past 10+ years.

Dymond has always been encouraged by her family members to strive for her best. Despite obstacles and disappointments, she always wanted to find a way to live by gratitude. She learned from life that, “Life is a wave of highs and lows that can be less devastating if you learn how to ride the wave”. Her darkest moments brought forth the greatest lessons. So, now she intends to spread her knowledge and experience to advocate for and to better the community.

We create digital ideas that are bigger, braver and better.
